While looking at the Auction house. One of the many tasks that the goblin auctioneer has is to pick up long term investments. Speculation runs rampant on the boards both with JMTC and on Consortium boards on what to buy, what to keep stored for the winter months of Mists of Panderia.
Later on as we get closer I will start adding lists of what suggestions I have on purchasing for long term storage and sales. But the biggest tip I can give is a very simple one. Keep your assets liquid.
What do I mean when I say this? If you buy stacks of Netherweave cloth for Netherweave bags. Make some of them into bolts of cloth, while you keep others in their natural stacked form as Netherweave cloth. This gives you the option of both crafting the bags quickly, as well as jumping on people wanting to buy large quantities of the cloth itself. This also applies to your stacks or ore, and leather. Resist the temptation to compact all your materials into smaller units. This opens up more opportunities for sales in the future.
One other quick note. Start to look for alternate storage areas for your prospective "nuts". Players who aren't interested in adding MOP to their game will look to leave the game. We have talked many times about buying guild banks for storage. Keep an eye out for sales of guilds as they come up in trade. Many insane buys of 3 to 4 slot banks will come up for 200-500 gold as the current expansion comes to a conclusion.
Good luck and Happy Hunting.
