Farming Darkmoon Faire

Darkmoon Fair Island opened up its portals yesterday to the lack of fan fare that I have talked about before. With the removal of obtaining xp for the various daily activities and quests,  it has become less of a focus for many players leveling their toon.

But one thing to keep in mind when you decide whether to visit the faire for the next week.   With the new expansion the odds are very good that the items will be added to the pet menagerie.  Having that stockpile of Darkmoon Prize Tickets will get you ahead of everyone else in being able to sell the various pets from the Island.

This is also a great time to level your professions for your alternates.  The +5 points that you can obtain each weekly visit can save you not just time but gold as well.  Do not forget to level the cooking and First Aid as well.

With the two bosses on the island being in rotation (Moonfang around every hour, Darkmoon Rabbit on an approximately 36 hour respawn).  Both drop pets that are in demand for pet lovers.   Both can bring in a large amount of cash both during the faire and when it's gone for the month.

Mists of Pandaria is winding down for many players.  As more and more information is released about Warlords of Draenor starting to develop a sound strategy for investment for niche items such as pets will allow you to be ahead of everyone else on the road to Draenor.

Don't forget the today is Cyber Monday so there is a lot of opportunity to get players into the game from the start.   Blizzard is selling MOP and some other stores are selling the boxed set/battle chest for the same cost. This will be a great time to get your friends into your favorite game.

Darkmoon Faire Dead?

It was not that long since the Darkmoon Faire was the talk of the town.  The new island,  new games,  new reputation etc.  Everything just had that smell of new car and fun.

The Faire was also an excellent place to obtain quick XP for leveling toons (6 games per day that take about 20 minutes total to finish).  With the subtle changes in the prizes (giving Darkmoon Faire prizes with no xp for each 'game' and lack of new prizes has lessened the excitement of the Faire.

Even the introduction of a new world boss,  Moonfang, has not put the shot in the arm that the Darkmoon Faire truly needs.   So the magic question, does the Darkmoon Faire already need an overhaul?  What can be done to change the Faire to bring the mass amounts of players that attended during the original introduction?

The other question to ask:  Is it really important to overhaul everything in the game to make it new and shiny?   Brewfest just passed us once again, and after four years of the same games,  events and beer type of fun it also has lost it's luster.  Many players barely acknowledged its arrival.  Players were playing with their new shiny dailies in the Timeless Isle and didn't have the time to run back to their home area to zap to another area and play the same boring games once again.

We are not that far from a new expansion introduction for World of Warcraft.  Where few rumors have been flying around that the new expansion name is 'Heroes of the Storm' what new 'features' will be brought into the game?   And what time honored areas of Azeroth will get it's next spit and polish touchups.

Everything in a game can use spit and polish to bring out it's shine.  Adding one or two items unfortunately doesn't bring people back to areas that were once popular.  A favored area can always use new siding and a new paint job.  The Darkmoon Faire is no different in it's needs to get people excited once again at playing the warcraft version of Carnival.

Now if you will excuse me I have a date with a Dire Wolf.

It's Monday,  the Darkmoon Faire has arrived for another visit and all is well in the Gold Goblin World.   Okay,  so maybe not all is well in the gold goblin world.  For some it has become more and more difficult to eek out the thousands and thousands of gold they have become used to.   There has become a large difference between players willing to spend extensive amounts of gold for items that they will replace quickly in Looking For Raid or Guild Raid Runs.  

But never forget the army of alts that players have at their disposal.  Where they may not be as interested to put in 10,000g into a main's piece of equipment,   it is very possible that they will spend that same amount to get an Alternate up to Raid spec.  

Most players have a limited amount of time to play,  but as guilds progress many players are asked to have not just one toon ready to take a spot but even two or three.   And with progression for some guilds becoming the crux of their interest,  they want to put the best team on the floor.   Even in tonight's NCAA championship game,  if a player needs replacing the coach will use his expertise to find the best player in the game.   In World of Warcraft the guild master or raid master will look to put the best equipped player in the raid for maximum success.

So if your target isn't buying for their main toon,  then you can target the equipment that will place that secondary or tertiary toon into the fray.   Where the 100,000g equipment might be few and far between,  burning through a couple of Spirits of Harmony and Living Steel can add up to big profits as well.

Thinking outside the box and finding new avenues to sell your services can make up for the loss of the big ticket items.   Diversify your crafting portfolio and you can be on the top of the heap.

Prepping For Darkmoon Faire

The Darkmoon Faire is less than a week away.  Not much has changed since the introduction of Darkmoon Island.  

With patch 5.1 there is an introduction to a few new pets,   a new battle trainer daily.  But most important this is going to be the first Darkmoon Faire that the corresponding cards will be upgradeable.

Every Darkmoon Faire since the introduction of the expansion has ended up with many of the materials used to craft the Darkmoon Faire decjs become highly in demand.   Herbs used to create become super scarce during this time.  From the Pandarian herbs used to mill out Starlight Inks to the cards themselves.  

This next week leading up to December 2nd your prime goal should be to both gather and purchase herbs for resell.  For Scribes,   continuing to do your daily Scroll of Wisdom creation will become paramount for your gold goals.

Keep in mind that upgraded cards will become BOP and non-tradable so unless you want to use it for personal use,  don't be tempted to give buyers and extra jump on an upgrade.

I'm continually asked what addon I use for most of my auctioning.   One of the addons I use continually is the Trade Skill Master addon.  One of the large benefits of this addon is both the shopping addon and the destroyer addon.  I use the shopping addon to get a good idea of just how much it would cost me for every ink i will use in a project.   It will give me an average price based on the cost of a stack of the item I'm purchasing.

The destroyer module makes milling/disenchanting/prospecting a one button operation.   This saves me time (and we know time is money) in production of materials for crafting.

A fair warning,   the entire module is very intricate and there is a high learning curve.   Reading the website,  the tutorials,   practicing and then reading everything again will keep you from listing items for 5 cents accidental.

In the next 4 days being prepped to sell the products used to create cards will net you a good chunk of change towards your gold goblin goal.

So be ready and prepared and let the crafting begin.

Saturday Night Missive

It's Saturday night and many players are just logging in after working through the day.  Looking to improve their gear,  grab that quick enchant.  Finish up their weekly runs through raids.

Today is also the last day to work through the Darkmoon Faire quests til next month.  This is the last month that you can get those extra 5 points that you need for your professions.   Many others who finished up their Warcraft errands are enjoying a brilliant day outside (at least here at JMTC Central that's what we've been doing).

Soon it will be time to get back into some time consuming enjoyment that will be Mists of Pandaria.  I set a goal early to try to get a Realm first on one of my toons.  If you have been keeping up with the power leveling guides they have been gentle with a lot of the needs to max out.  The big problem being needing to get up to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms to get the recipes to max out the profession.

The next three weeks are going to be a good time to solidify your plans,  and make sure that everyone on your team is of the same thought process.   Early this week there was some supposition on whether you could get a team of 20-25 players together to help get a realm first for one player.   As I was reading the comments I was thinking to myself that it would be a bigger difficulty to get 25 players to help one player than it would be to get a realm first.

As you run around your home cities this weekend.  Remember to take in the sites and not just run from one place to another.   Look for the subtle changes that are in different areas of the city.  From looking at Pandas practicing Kung Fu,  to where the trainer is to start your first steps towards pet battle immortality.  The planning ahead you do now will become second nature on those first weeks that the gates to pandaland open.  And will set you up to be top of the heap when the gold starts flowing into players pockets.

Shuffle Up and Deal Those Inscription Decks

As the days wind down on the cataclysm expansion,  the 85 level darkmoon card decks have all but served their usefulness.   They were at the beginning some of the most powerful trinkets available for players just entering raiding.   On some toons they lasted long during the different patches.

But somewhere forgotten during the rush to get these cards were the lower level decks available for players.   The Swords Deck,  Mages Deck,  Demons Deck and Rogues Deck were not in as high of a demand as the other decks.  But now that multiple amounts of leveling toons are just over the horizon picking up a few of these decks to turn in could become very profitable.    Each of these decks only take five cards (ace through four) of the suit.   Clicking on the completed deck starts a quest to go to the Darkmoon Isle during the weeklong festival.


Rogues Deck (ace, two, three, four and five of Rogues)

Starting off the decks is a turn in for a level 10 chest item.   These might not be in as high of demand
simply because the equipment is turned over very quickly between level 10 and 20.  Still buying the cards cheaply and crafting the decks to either sell whole or the turn ins can get a handy profit.

Swords Deck (ace, two, three, four and five of swords)

This deck when turned in gives you the choice of three items with a minimum of level 20 requirement.
Azure Shoulderguards
Cloaked Shoulderpads
Darkcloth Shoulders

All three of these have random enchants on them.  Good rare shoulders are rare at level 20 so can bring in a nice amount of gold to levelers.  They are BOE so they can be sold on the AH for a solid profit if the cards/deck is obtained inexpensively

Mages Deck (ace, two, three, four and five of Mages)

This deck when turned in gives you a item for a level 30 neck slot

Darkmoon Necklace
Darkmoon Pendant

Both Items again are BOE and decent level 30 blue neck pieces are going to be in high demand.

Demons Deck (ace, two, three, four and five of Demons)

This gives us access to level 40 weapons

Darkmoon Executioner
Darkmoon Magestaff
Darkmoon Dirk

For added bonus enchanting with a enchantment such as Enchant Weapon - Agility or Enchant Weapon Spellpower to make your profit margin explode.   This is one of those times that selling in trade chat with the enchant will net you more than just adding it to the Auction House sales rotation you already have.

Where crafting these cards from materials might be counterproductive,  there are many times individual cards and even decks on the Auction house for next to nothing.   I've purchased multiple decks for totals of 5-8g.   Knowing that I will be able to turn these over during the Mists of Pandaria expansion for 10x the profit or more.   So scour through the AH and see what decks you can put together.   Every small or large profit brings you that much closer to the gold goblin mountain.

Darkmoon Faire Returns.... Much rejoicing

Sunday started another round of the Darkmoon Faire.  Good opportunities to get those alts some points towards topping off your professions.

Always looking for the fastest way to do my dailies on a toon,  I jotted down the way I finish my dailies in a little bit under 15 minutes (all depending on how accurate my getting shot out of the cannon.

1.   Go to darkmoon faire portal either in Thunder bluff or Stormwind

2.   Follow path to get to the main faire area.

3.   Buy any tickets necessary at 54, 55

4.   Play Whack a mole game at 53, 54

5.   Go to Cannon shot game at 52, 56

6.   Land in water around 56, 34

7.   Run to Turtle ring toss game at 51 78

8.   Go to Tonk challenge game at 50, 64  (this usually takes me two round to complete)

9.   Go to Shooting Gallery at 49, 60

10.  Back to Cannon to finish off points at 52, 56 (if you scored a perfect the first time your finished)

11.  Land in water around 56, 34

12.  Swim to Teleport back to cannon at 57, 89.

13.  Repeat steps 10, 11 and 12 til you've finished your cannon mission.

Finishing the monthly professions as you go the first day will add time,  but this should quickly finish off everything on your to do list.  Don't forget to bring the materials that are necessary with you to finish the profession quests.

If you missed the hint we passed on from Wowinsider earlier in the week about finishing up the Childrens week companions quicker.   With the new expansion when you learn a pet on one toon attached to one account,  then it will apply to all the characters on that account.   So keep track of what you learn on each character with the tickets earned,  so that you can keep from repeating buying pets/mounts from the darkmoon faire.

Finishing the dailies/weeklies on all your toons can bring a decent amount of gold in your coffer for about an hours worth of repetitive work.

his week starts the rare triple combo of holidays.  We're in the 2nd week of the lunar festival,
today starts the Love is in the Air holiday,  and this week the Darkmoon Island is open for inspection.

Should be a busy week for everyone.   Not a lot changed with the  Love is in the Air event.   Only major change is that there is a mount available,  the [Swift Lovebird] for 270 [Love Tokens].  This should spur continual sales during the event.

Thankfully for the goblins in all of us,  the [Lovely Charm Bracelet] are again BOE this year so look to sell these either through trade chat or on the AH.  Grab a [Lovely Charm Collector's Kit] on all of your questing and raiding/instance alts.   They do drop in PVP as well,  but you have to get the kill shot to get credit for the charm.

Every year the Blizzard powers that be tend to tweak the drop rates when someone finds a very nice
farming spot.   So keep an eye for good farming spots,  especially if you have finished the opening to
the fireland dailies.   Craft or purchase a [Potion of Treasure Finding] and run do some farming in the cataclysm areas.   My suggestion if your at level 85 is going to be based around Mount Hyjal,   up and down the area close to the Sanctuary of Malorne.    Mobs die quickly and large amount of fire volatiles drops.

Lower levels want to look for large amount of mobs that can be killed quickly.  The wrath expansion areas still have many mobs that are within "level appropriate" to get drops of the charms.  Other professions such as skinning might find the twilight highlands area a good option to skin the dragons for raw materials. Leather is still selling at a premium on many servers.  If you stay withing 2-4 levels of mobs you are killing you should continue to get the drops for the charms you need to make the bracelets.

Don't forget to have your [Darkmoon Adventure's Guide] for dungeon and raid instances for drops of the rare tomes and items to turn in for Darkmoon Faire tokens.

4.3.2 is supposed to be the last patch for cataclysm.   This is separating the idea of hot fixes that get rolled out when a major or minor issue comes to pass.

As I was looking at the near calculus level of changes with class mechanics.  Two things struck me as
being very important for the gold goblin in all of us.

This ends up being a mixed bag of good and bad.   Good because it will get more people raiding on the regular and heroic content.   Meaning more possible sales to jump start alt toons to get raid geared.   The bad part of this is that it will also allow more people to get geared quicker via raids instead of purchasing items from the AH or having them crafted.   This is going to depend on just how quickly multiple groups are thrown into the mix (notice the buff doesn't effect Looking for raid groups).

Also beneficial will be more BOE items that could be flipped quickly for profit.   All of these things will be depending on just how quickly the casual raid groups are able to access the higher content.  I wouldn't be supried that purchased gold runs will be happening more often on servers.

In patch 4.3.2 (Feb 2 Hotfix)  Notes


Events:
- Darkmoon Faire
   - [Soothsayer's Runes] and [A Treatise on Strategy] should now drop from all appropriate Heroic and raid  bosses
-  Murozond's temporal Cache now has a chance to contain monstrous Egg and A Treatise on Strategy


[Soothsayer's Runes] and [A Treatise on Strategy]  have been very strong flip candidates since they were introduced as drops with the new darkmoon faire.   With it becoming more available it's going to be more often on the AH and become less and less expensive.   If you have been storing these for a rainy day this might be the last Darkmoon Faire (Feb 5th to the 11th) to get the best prices.

Keep an eye on the extra BOE's as they pop up and jump on them when you see them at basement prices.

Low Level Gold Making at Darkmoon Faire

Many long-time readers here are at the point in their gold progression where they can focus on lucrative, high-payoff gold making ventures like the recent stockpiling and selling of goods for 4.3. But what if you're just starting off making gold? Either you're too low level to max professions or you don't have much capital to invest?

Well, the new Darkmoon Faire has some options for you! One of the new features is the weekly profession quest. I took my main character to the Faire and figured I'd do the profession quests just to do them. I quickly found some roadblocks to quick completion: I had to leave the Faire and return to Stormwind to purchase supplies.

So this led me to thinking, why not sit and sell the reagents needed for the quests? I gladly would have overpaid for them in order to save the trip back to a city. Not all the professions need items from a town, but here are the ones that do:

Tailoring
1 Coarse Thread, 1 Red Dye, 1 Blue Dye, sold by the tailoring supply vendors. Ask a guard for tor the location of the Tailor trainer in any capital if you aren't sure where to go. The base cost before discounts is 10 copper for the thread and 50 copper for each dye, or 1 silver, 10 copper for the group.

Inscription
5 Light Parchment, sold by the Inscription supply vendors. Ask a guard for tor the location of the Inscription trainer in any capital if you aren't sure where to go. The base cost before discounts is 15 copper per sheet, or 75 copper for the group.

Cooking
5 Simple Flour, sold by the Cooking supply vendors. Ask a guard for tor the location of the Cooking trainer in any capital if you aren't sure where to go. The base cost before discounts is 25 copper per flour, or 1 silver, 25 copper for the group.

Leatherworking
10 Shiny Bauble, 5 Coarse Thread, 5 Blue Dye. See Tailoring, above, for information on the Coarse Thread and Blue Dye. Shiny Baubles are available from fishing supply vendors. There's actually a fishing vendor on Darkmoon Island that sells these, but some people might not bother looking. If you skip the Baubles, you'll need 3 silver for the thread and dye. If you purchase some Baubles to save your customers the hassle, you'll need another 5 silver, or 8 silver total.

Alchemy
5 Moonberry Juice, sold by Innkeepers. Stop by your favorite inn to get some. The base cost before discounts is 20 silver each, or 1 gold for the group.

Once you have the materials, park yourself at the faire and advertise in General Chat (/1 will start typing in general chat) that you have materials for these 5 professions. When I was playing around with it, I found it most helpful to play off the convenience factor, and generally sold supply packs for 5 gold across the board. At worst, that's still 4 gold in profit for each pack.

I didn't stay long, because I had other things to do that were more profitable, but if you don't have the capital or professions to do those other things, this is a great start. One particularly useful message I was barking was: "Tailoring, Inscription, Cooking, Leatherworking and Alchemy quest items for sale! Turn 5 gold into 16, get 4 tickets and 5 free skill points in your profession!"

Don't underestimate how much gold people are willing to spend to avoid the hassle of gathering these materials themselves. You still have a couple days to give it a try, but chances are most of the player base that is going to do the quests are already through them. But keep this in mind for the next Darkmoon Faire as a way to make some start-up capital!

The Arrival of Patch 4.3 and Darkmoon Faire Gold Tips

Hey everyone, Alerick here again this week with a post about how to make gold through the arrival of the new and improved Darkmoon Faire that is now available after the release of patch 4.3. Now there are a number of activities you can take part in here, including daily quests which involve carnival-like games, profession related quests, a petting zoo, and even a PvP "arena cage".

Now although this new zone may seem like fun and games, there are many unique gold making opportunities available here. I first realized a niche market for the Oily Blackmouth fish while browsing auctions on my smartphone. I saw quite a few of them for less than 10 silver each, and I quickly bought them all up. The reason I was so excited to see them available on the auction house was that these fish are often very hard to get ahold of, and they are basically a must-have for anyone who is leveling alchemy. People who are looking to level this profession will often come to many places along the way where they need a rare herb, or a special rare ingredient that cannot be found on the AH. If you can control the market of Oily Blackmouth fish on your server, there's a lot of room for profit. They are fished from low level zones, and the arrival of the Darkmoon Faire and the new "Sea Pony" pet has brought many avid pet collectors to this zone who are looking to add this one to their collection. Another reason there might be an increase in the flow of Oily Blackmouth fish to your market is that there is a fishing profession based quest that will cause people to fish in the waters around the faire, therefore further increasing the supply of Oily Blacksmith to the market.

Along with the arrival of the new Darkmoon Faire came a multitude of Faire related achievements. Among these are achievements that involve turning in quest items to receive credit for them. The items required are all BoE which again offers up a gold making opportunity for us goblins out there. These items can be bought and flipped, and are also an excellent way to make gold while leveling through dungeons. The only requirement to collect these "artifacts" it to have an item in your bags called a Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide. This item can be aquired by speaking to the NPC Selina Dourman located towards the entrance of the Darkmoon Faire. She will give you one for free if you ask for it through chat. To delve deeper into the topic, there are three achievements associated with these artifacts. One for artifacts recieved from dungeons, one from looting the insignias from enemy corpses in BGs, and one for having turned in both all 3 the PvP and all 5 PvE items. So certain bosses in certain dungeons have a chance to drop these randomly. The drops are not level specific, and as long as you have the Guide, you can farm these items. For example, I ran the Stockades instance in Stormwind city just to kill the first boss, Randolph Muloch for a chance at the Ornate Weapon to drop. I can run this five time an hour in the space of about 3 or 4 minutes only. Since I am usually in SW anyways, doing this is a simple easy way to make gold. I got an Ornate Weapon on my first run and sold it for 1000 gold within 2 minutes through trade chat. This is just an example. Since this is still right after the patch, these items will be in extreme demand. Any of the 5 PvE dungeon items can be acquired from a range of bosses found in dungeons all across the World of Warcraft. The 3 PvE items can be acquired by looting the insignias off of corpses of the enemy factions. If you're a PvPer and are looking to make some super easy gold on the side, take a second or two to loot the corpse of a player once you kill them.

These are just two of the new additions to WoW through the Darkmoon Faire in patch 4.3 that I know will be very profitable. Take these into account while running dungeons and pvping, and you could make some serious gold on the side.

Getting Ready For 4.3: Clearing Inventory

Bashiok, one of the Community Managers at Blizzard, recently posted on his Twitter feed that PvP Season 10 is ending November 29. Historically, PvP seasons end approximately one week before a new patch drops. It's safe to assume that Patch 4.3 (now in release candidate form on the PTR) will be available on live servers as early as December 6. What does this mean for the avid gold-maker? Time to get ready for the patch.

This week I'll look at the first part of getting ready for the patch: getting rid of stuff that will lose value soon. Next Friday, I'll look at what to invest in for 4.3. With the recent news that WoW lost another 800k subscribers, the outlook may look bleak for 4.3, but I'm expecting 4.3 to bring back some of those subs and cause demand to sky-rocket. So stop by next week for some tips on what to do to get ready for the new patch.

Out With the Old

The first step to getting ready for Patch 4.3 is getting rid of stuff that will lose value soon. There are a number of items to be concerned about, across multiple industries:

• Bind-on-Equip Gear
  If you've been trying to make money flipping cheap BoE gear, it's time to get out. The most notable drop will occur in 359 Plate Tank Shoulders (Pauldrons of Edward the Odd and Heaving Plates of Protection). Until now, those were Best-in-Slot items for Paladin and Warrior tanks who don't have access to raids. Hide of Chromaggus, popular with druids, was already hurt by the BoE Flickering Shoulderpads from Shannox, but this too will dip even further. The reason for this is that the current loot tables for 4.3 have iLevel 378 Shoulders for all specs in 5-man heroic dungeons. Other 359 BoEs like Soul Blades, as well as the current 378s from Firelands will see their value drop with gear of the same iLevel found in the new 5-man instances.
• PvP Armor/Items
  If you've got any PvP gear you're trying to sell, now is the time to get rid of it. Recipes will again be upgraded to a higher iLevel version of the PvP armor, so your current crafted gear will become nearly useless. If I had any lying around, I'd get rid of it for materials and a possible tip. Getting the mats back at a minimum allows you to hold them for crafting the new version when 4.3 hits and make way more money.
• Chaos Orbs
  If you're sitting on any Chaos Orbs, now is a good time to sell them via trade chat. I recently crafted and sold a 365 weapon for about a 5k profit. That's 1,000/orb (higher than I expected for sure). In trade chat they go for 200-300 gold. They will become Bind-on-Equip in 4.3, so you'll be able to pick them up on the Auction House (or sell them if you prefer). This will drive the supply up and prices down, so get as much as you can now for your chaos orbs. (Note: If you're a tailor, don't use your orbs until after 4.3. Your primary use for orbs is dream cloth, and the cost is dropping form 5 orbs to 4 with the new patch.)
• Darkmoon Cards
  This could be included with the BoE Gear category above, but I think it deserves it's own mention. There's one more Darkmoon Faire left between now and when the patch drops. 359 trinkets will all be replaced in 4.3 with 5-man drops, so sell what you can now.

This month unless something changes with the 4.3 PTR will be the last month of the Darkmoon Faire
as we know it.

Since Patch 1.6 (Original Wow "Vanilla") we as players have been running around picking up Small Furry Paws, Toughened Leather Armor and many more items for reputation,  and the greatest gift that the faire could give us;  the Darkmoon Faire Prize Ticket.

So why is it important to know this is the last month of the faire?   Due to the change of the faire going to an island of it's own.  All those tickets that you might have been saving for a rainy day will be useless.   They will go the way of the do do bird.  As will possibly many of the items that were used for turn ins for tickets.

With the limited information we have about the new faire.   Odds are that all of those turn ins will be changed to something different.  Probably more appropriate materials  by todays gaming standards.   The furry paws that don't appear as much as they used to might be easily replaced by lower level crafting mats.   Items that are crafted by professions (this was set up by the previous faire where Dense Grinding stones were used specifically to obtain tickets to turn in.

Many had already been doing the "Darkmoon Prize shuffle" for their blacksmiths.  Or another available turn-in depending on the profession or gathering skill.   Balancing to the idea of gaining tickets to turn in for both the Greater Darkmoon Prize and Lesser Darkmoon Prize.

Last Chances

This will probably be your last chance to do this before everything changes for the turn ins.  The three items your looking to either craft or purchase from the AH are:

Evil Bat Eye (farmable mostly in Eastern and Western Plaguelands)
Glowing Scorpid Blood (best farm places are scorpids and mobs in Tanaris and Silithus)
Dense Grinding Stone (crafting by blacksmiths,   from Dense Stone gathered from early mining)
Thorium Widget (Crafted by Engineers from Thorium Ore/Bars and Runecloth)
Rugged Armor Kit (crafted by Leatherworkers from materials by skinners {rugged leather}

All of these are "tier 5" turn ins that will not give you any reputation above friendly with the darkmoon faire.  But will give you tickets to turn in for the Darkmoon Prizes.

Inside these prizes will be a mixture of level 45-55 greens,  some blues and the more important thing.  Rare Recipes.  Some of the recipes you gain are no longer available.  Including the Schematic: Lifelike Mechanical Toad.

The key to this is to start looking on the AH now.   It may be only a week away from the faire,  but you still have this last opportunity to take advantage of a decent money making initiative.

Plus don't forget to pick up your Jubling.  Everyone needs a frog in their collection.

Patch 4.3 Video Guide

Patch 4.3 isn't out yet. In fact, it isn't even on the PTR yet.

We're gold makers though, and that doesn't stop us from preparing right now.

We relish in the idea of making 100,000 gold in a single patch and if you're anything like me, that's your minimum goal for any new content update.
