Making Gold with BC meats

Making Gold with BC meats

Hi guys, Alerick here once again, and today I'm going to be talking to you readers about making efficient gold by way of Burning Crusade cooking materials. The ones we will be concentrating on today are the Serpent Flesh, Buzzard Meat, Chunk o' Basilisk, Clefthoof Meat, Raptor Ribs, Talbuk Venison, and Warped Flesh. Now I came across this gold-making niche market when I began working towards my Chef title. I'm sure a lot of people are interested in getting this title, and there are a few achievements in the meta that require involvement with the old Burning Crusade cooking daily quests. By completing these dailies, you have a choice between a Crate of Meat or a Barrel of Fish. I always chose the Crate of Meat, because it had a slightly higher chance to drop the recipe for Stormchops, which was the last section of the last achievement I needed for my Chef title.

Each crate has a chance to drop between 5 and 16 of the meats listed above. Needless to say, with a sub 2 percent drop chance, I ended up doing quite a few of these dailies, and amounted quite a stash of the meat. I knew that with all of the cooking materials I had, someone would eventually need to use them to level their profession, so I put a few on the AH, careful not to flood the market, and watched them all sell. I found that by only putting a select amount of the meats on the AH, whenever a character leveled their cooking profession through that level range, basically all of my meats would sell out. There's a shortage of these meats on the Auction House simply because a lot of players power level their characters through Burning Crusade dungeons, and either don't bother to even loot the mobs they kill, or consider the meat to be worth next to nothing. That's where us resourceful players make bank ;).

Not only are these meats required for every player leveling their cooking past the Burning Crusade expansion, but they're a component for completing the cooking dailies themselves, and the Achievement "The Outland Gourmet", which requires at least one of every meat list above. This achievement in itself puts the items in a high demand for all of the achievement hunters out there. It's very simple to hop on one of your characters one day, head over to Shattrath City, and finish up one of these dailies. You can get a good amount of BC meat to sell on the AH, as well as complete some components of easy achievements in the process. Good luck putting the tip into action and I hope it makes everyone plenty of gold!

Low Level Lucrative Gold Making

Hi guys, Alerick here again, and today I’m going to be interpreting and elaborating on an email we got from a reader here at JMTC. This individual goes by the name, “Danprentice”, and his email was regarding making easy gold at a low level. He plays a level 25 warrior currently and uses the professions mining, blacksmithing, and fishing primarily to make his gold. In the email, he talked about how he used to make gold farming copper ore in Durotar, a perfectly simple profitable to make gold at his level using mining, seeing as copper, specifically in bar form is needed in bulk by people leveling blacksmithing, jewel crafting, and engineering.

This was an old method of his for making gold, however his new one is much more creative, and I’ve been using this one occasionally myself to pick up some gold. He plays a horde character, and this makes the method even more ideal because he was leveling through the zone in the first place. Scattered all over the Barrens, there are pools of the Deviate Delight fish. These pools are extremely common, easy to find, and they re-spawn more quickly than you can fish them. The old method for catching these fish was to go to a body of water in Wailing Caverns, and fish for a slim chance at an occasional Deviate Fish. The good thing about fishing them from pools, rather than a regular body of water is that you have an 100% drop rate of the fish, as well as a chance at other items contained in chests, as well as herbs. Although the rarity of these fish has decreased, I found their actual value, and supply to remain the same, and they are still very uncommon on the auction house. This reader only really wrote about selling them in their raw form, and seeing as the value of the savory deviate delight recipe has plunged due to higher supply and a zone-wide high drop rate, you can find it extremely cheap on the auction house, especially on the Horde side on your server. The reason being that a lot more horde characters level through the Barrens than Alliance.

One of the best parts of the recipe is that it requires minimal effort to produce, seeing as only an 85 skill in cooking is required. People buy these savory deviate delights for leveling their boa decked out characters, appearing awesome in BGs, or if they just want to look like a ninja or pirate. The Deviate Fish found in these pools can also be used by alchemists to craft Elixirs of Massive Growth, which can be amazingly profitable if you just sell them on the AH. People like to buy these because the elixirs make your characters grow larger and seem bigger, as well as giving you a handy 8 Strength. As an added bonus, while fishing in these pools for easy gold, you contribute to the guild achievement for catching 10,000 fish from pools, a vital perk for a raiding guild. That’s all for today guys, thanks to Danprentice for submitting this valuable gold information, and I’ll see you guys next week!

Children's Week & 4.1 Achievements

Morning Folks! I was originally going to write a post on children's week but I've decided not to do so. There are multiple other blogs which have already cover the topic and I don't really want to over saturate the event/gold making opportunity. Instead of making a post head over the The Gold Queen's blog and read her post on how you could be making gold from Children's Week. It's a well written in-depth post that shouldn't go un-noticed.

Any who, as most of you know patch 4.1 has dropped and it's been out for a couple days now. The patch brought a couple achievements that can and are currently making me a killing. I'm going to list the new achievements and explain what you could be doing to make gold off them.

Cataclysmically Delicious
This achievement requires people to eat one of every cataclysm food. People are actually starting to take notice of this achievement and are buying the foods off the AH. Some of them can be crafted for a couple silver and listed for 10-25g per. The profits here are immense and the competition can range from low-high as not everyone will have every single cooking recipe. Definitely give this a try.

Drown Your Sorrows
Another awesome achievement that you can make gold off. It requires you to eat some pretty silly/weird stuff that can be crafted for a couple silver yet they sell at the AH four several gold pieces. Some of the items are also drops off mobs and other are vendor bought so if you don't have the recipes at least go out and buy some of the vendor bought stuff and or kill some mobs and list the materials at the AH.

You'll Feel Right As Rain
This achievement is rather interesting and simply awesome for making gold. It requires you to eat 91 Chocolate cookies in order to obtain the achievement. The recipe is obtained by turning in three Stormwind chef's awards. Profit off this achievements are simply HUGE as the materials are vendor bought and they cost almost nothing. I would get into this market asap before it gets flooded.

100 & 125 Pet Achievements
Another recently added achievement. Quite obvious to be quite frank. People will be buying pets like no tomorrow. Remember how I told you to stockpile elementium geodes? Well the price on my server jumped from 200-300g to 800-900g. Pets are in high demand right now. Be sure to check the prices of the newly added pet; Winterspring Cub. It is obtained in winterspring and is sold by a vendor for 50g.

Sandstone Drake Achievement
A long awaited achievement that was again added in patch 4.1. You could see a small spike in the demand for this mount as people will buy it solely for the achievement ( the achivies hunters ). Use your bartering perk and possibly goblin racial to reduce costs and craft for normal/high and sell the mount for tremendous profits.

That's all for now folks! 5 brand spanking new achievements that you can use to make gold from! What are you waiting for? Go get into these markets before they're flooded!

Are You Prepared For Cataclysm?

This article was brought to you by The Warcraft Journal Magazine

The third World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm brings about many new features including guild leveling, races, class/race combinations and much more. Players of all types are excited to experience these  and the rest of what Cataclysm has to offer. However, most people know that the main focus of the expansion is leveling. Goblins and Worgen will be leveling alongside the Tauren paladins and  Human hunters. In addition, level 80's will be advancing their characters to level 85 and professions will need to reach their max level again. Everyone wants to level as fast as possible and players will be seeking out ways to speed up the process as much as possible with things like food, heirlooms and other stat boosting items.

Even before the release of Cataclysm, players will be searching the Auction House for items that will help them to level faster. Those looking to make gold can supply these players with the items they need and make a profit doing so. High level players normally have quite a bit of gold. They will be spending it on their low level alts as well as on their mains so that they can reach level 85 as soon as possible.

Pre-Cataclysm Preparation
This section is for sellable items that players will be purchasing in preparation for Cataclysm leveling. Things such as food, bags, potions and other similar items.

Cataclysm Cooking Daily - Sell the Meats!

Credit: Wowhead
Here we are, post shattering, pre-cataclysm. People are going nuts trying to find ways to exploit ways to get the new Cataclysm meats, fishes, ores, herbs, leathers and such, but I have a way that you can obtain Cataclysm meat before Cataclysm hits, no exploit required!

As many of you know, the cataclysm cooking dailies are out, and they can be done by anyone, even your level 10 alts ( It is level 10 )! You earn 1 cooking daily token per day, per toon. You can turn in two of the tokens in for a crate of tasty meat. At the current moment you can earn up to 5 crates of meat every 2 days per server. There are huge profits to be made here!

The dailies take 5 minutes to complete, some even take less, the gold per hour here is insane if you manage to sell the meat inside of the crates at inflated prices. So far I've personally made about a 900g profit from four crates of tasty meat over the course of a week, think about how much gold you'd be making if you got 5 crates every two days!

Where is the quest located?
The quest is located by the Stormwind stockades if you're alliance, while the horde quest is to your left as you enter "The Drag", in Orgrimmar. There are a number of different quests, Kaliope has made a wonderful post regarding some of the cooking dailies, it outlines some of them, and tells you what to do. The quests are rather simple to do and take little to no effort.

Go out there and do those dailies before Cataclysm hits! You've only got a couple days!
