There is a mote in your eye... and more

Everytime I start a search for motes on the auction house.  I think of a cartoon that was on TBS called Captain Planet.    I won't go into specifics because frankly,  it was a horrid cartoon.    But the main part of the show was a chant that the kids did when they were combining their powers.

"Earth,  wind,  water,  fire,  heart"....   [yes,  I know the rest,  it's embarassing]]

But now,  the alchemist have a chant of their own.   [Primal Earth],  [Primal Air],  [Primal Water],  [Primal Air],  [Primal Mana].   by my transmute powers I declare [Primal Might] = Money

Now that we have taken that break from reality.   How do we make gold on this?

With 4.3 alchemist no longer need primal mights for their specialization.  That was changed to needing 4x truegold.  But the alchemist still needs their primal might for their [Alchemist Stone].   Enchanters also need these for their [Runed Adamantite Rod].   Both necessary for leveling and future crafting.

The primal market is heavily farmed.   But what many do not take advantage is that the motes that can be turned into a primal.  Taking 10x of the appropriate mote (mote of fire... mote of air) and then turning them into the subsequent primal.

With the end of cataclysm coming along as well as people setting up alts for their MOP questing and crafting professions,  this can easily become both a short and long term money makers.

Farming for these motes are all done up in the Negrand,  the water area just outside garadar holding the monsters dropping motes of water,  and up on elemental plateau holding the other motes available.
A quick run through this area can continuously grind some gold for yourself.

With Primals averaging 600g on many servers,  and in constant demand,  the power is yours! *groan*

Now I need a real cartoon to get that thing out of my mind.  Where is bugs bunny when I need him.

Good luck and  good hunting

Engineers do it with Power... and Portals

Engineers have always been on the short end of the stick when it comes to gold making.   During the burning crusade and wrath expansions the consensus was they made a few "neat" weapons.  The rest of their crafted gear being trinkets only available for self enhancement (and sometimes self explosion).

One of the things that occured during my wow playing days is that I inherited a troll.   The person who had first created the character had went with engineering.    Soon they were unable to play the toon and I started leveling them (we had shared the account for a bit.)   As everyone had said,   the majority of their items were of a self destruction nature (rocket boots XL ftw).   But one thing that was semi useful was the portals to different areas you could use.

One that was introduced in Vanilla wow was the Dimensional Ripper-Everylook.  Not that handy unless one of the malfunctions happened and set you in a random spot for farming.    Or needing to do a pet run in Everlook for Winterspring Cub.

With Burning Crusade the Dimensional Ripper -Area 51 (or the alliance version ultrasafe transporter toshleys station).   Again these were good to get to random farming areas,   or just for sheer enjoyment.

With the introduction of the wormhole generator northrend engineers received something much more useful.   Activating this gave the engineer a choice of where they wanted to port too.  One of the 5 areas (once they were discovered) plus the occasional 6th area (the underground) where some rare patterns were on sale from time to time.  (the dragonling patterns still sell well on multiple servers).

So why did this become a money maker for me?    I couldn't port anyone to an area like a mage could.  But what I could do is combine this with my Jewelcrafter.   Flying for the daily in northrend was the bane of my money making life.  I could do nothing those 5 minutes or so I had to fly.   Even if I jumped down from dalaran it took me a couple of minutes to fly to the point of where the monster was I needed to kill for the drop.

But with  the combination of my troll's ability for astral recall I had multiple connections to get back to my home port.    With the borean tundra area having all of the different drops I needed for the dalaran jewelcrafting dailies I could finish both of my jewelcrafting dailies in less than 10 minutes.

Here is how I have it set up:

  • I log onto to my Jewelcrafter (my hearthstone is set for dalaran)
  • Reset all auctions and cut any gems needed to post
  • I run over and pick up the Dalaran Jewelcrafting daily
  • Run and use the portal to go to Orgrimmar
  • Pick up the JC daily for cataclysm
  • Cut whatever gem is needed for this daily (I keep all of them in stock in my bank)
  • Turn in for token
  • Use my wormhole generator northrend to port to Borean Tundra area
  • Fly to where I need to go to get drop
  • Port back to dalaran (use my astral recall spell)
  • Turn in (either buy buying the gems from the AH or from my storage)
  • Recheck auctions (yes,  on my server they can be undercut that quick)
So why is this important to know?   Because in gold making,  time is money.    There are other combinations of class abilities and crafting that can be used to do similar items.  Mages are good at porting for farming or for turn-ins.  Or for restocking rare recipes.

What other combinations can you find that will add more money to your coffers?

Til next time

Molten Core: A Hidden Treasure

I've told you folks that farming Molten Core is a gold mine and I'm going to go ahead and remind you once more. Why? Because I recently made ~10,000g for an hours worth of work.

It all started off with me being bored, thus I did what anyone would do, go back and do achievements ( I was on my alt ) so I decided to do Molten Core and pray for a Sulfuron Ingot drop. I flew to Molten Core, went inside and ran straight for the bosses. First boss kill what drops? Enchant Formula: Spellpower, a formula worth anywhere around 2-4,000g. I carry on and don't get another decent drop until I'm at the 3th or 4th boss, which happens to drop Recipe: Major Rejuvenation Potion - another rare recipe worth roughly 2,500g. I then continue on to Golemagg who proceeds to drop a Sulfuron Ingot which I will later turn in for the Sulfuron Hammer Plans which sell anywhere in the 3-4,000g range.

I ended up selling the Enchant Formula for 3,500g, the Major Rejuvination Potion for 2,250g and the Sulfuron Hammer plans for 3,500g. 9,250g made in under an hour farming Molten Core. Do keep in mind this doesn't account for gold drops, rares, enchanting mats and anything else gained.

Below is a list of every rare pattern you can obtain from Molten Core:

As you can see there is a nice chunk of BOE recipes that can be sold at the AH. There are some BOP recipes in there, but the things you craft are BOE meaning you could the crafted item at the AH.  On top of all this you also have the Sulfuron Ingot which is used to craft the Legendary Sulfuron Hammer. You can either sell the ingot on it's own as the Sulfuron Hammer needs 8 to be crafted, or you can go to Blackrock Depths and turn in the Ingot for the Plans of the Sulfuron Hammer. I find that the recipe itself sell much better than seling the ingot raw. Beware, you can only turn the ingot in once per character, you can easily counter this by creating a Death Knight once all your alts have turned in an Ingot.

But wait there's more! If you farm a mob named Molten Destroyers you also have the chance to make several thousands of gold! They drop an item named Blood of the Mountain which is used to craft the Sulfuron Hammer, these things go for insane prices at auction houses.

All in all if you're bored and are looking for a way to make gold why not go farm Molten Core for a chance to make 10,000g in under an hour? It's a nice change from camping that auction house! :)

Cheap Greater Planar Essences

I'll go ahead and get straight to the point, while poking around wowhead trying to find an item that is cheap to craft I found a number of items that can be bought from the AH and disenchanted to sell for a profit.

Any of the below item will disenchant into greater Planar Essences but before you go and craft any of them do a simple search at your auction house and you should find 10-15 of any item listed for cheap. Why? People are levelign their profressions and list the items they use to level for cheap because they're trying to get back any gold they possibly can.

Dominate Your Market with Barriers to Entry

Author: Laura.

Hi JMTC readers,

If, like me, you hate having to go through the continual cancel repost cycle in order to get decent
sales then hopefully this post will give you some ideas on how to you can erase the need to babysit
your auctions but still log on to a mailbox full of gold.

What I am going to be discussing in this post is how you can create barriers to entry in order prevent
potential competitors from entering your market. Barriers to entry are literally as they sound,
obstacles which prevent competitors from entering the market, if competitors are deterred from
entering the market then not only can you leave your auctions be as you rack up the sales, but it’s
likely that the amount of sales you make will rocket as well as your market will have no choice but to
buy your goods!

Barrier to entry = more money + more time away from the AH!

Bracer Enchant Goldmine

Author: Ashley.

Right now the high end bracer enchants are selling like crazy for massive profit
margins (on my server at least) I put this down to lots of people getting the new BOE
valor point bracers, so I thought I’d share my little tip for all of you out there.

I am going to concentrate on Enchant Bracer – Mighty Intellect since I managed to
pick it up for 1k early on in Cata. However the same principle will no doubt apply for
the strength and agility ones as well

Requirements

  • A max level enchanter, alchemist (preferably transmute spec) and jewelcrafter.
  • Preferably the bountiful bags guild perk (for extra enchanting materials).
  • A high level bracer enchant, such as Enchant Bracer – Mighty Intellect.

My process for the Mighty Intellect Enchant:

  • Shuffle obsidium ore into jewellery for disenchanting. Make sure to make carnelian spikes with those carnelians, you’ll be needing the GCEs.
  • Buy Maelstroms when they’re cheap. Monitor your market. I was able to pick up 30 at 70G each the other day. They are going cheap because lots of people are running ZA/ZG for the valor points.
  • Transmute volatile life into volatile water every day. I also farm volatile water in twilight highlands sometimes and even buy from the AH if it’s cheap enough.
  • Create scrolls and list.

The Math

Considering the following assumptions:
  • Volatile Life: 2G
  • Obsidium Ore: 30G per stack
  • Maelstroms: 100G per one

I used an obsidium shuffle spreadsheet to work out that it takes on average,
approximately 36 obsidium ore to get the required hypnotic dust and GCEs for the
mighty intellect enchant. For arguments sake I’m just going to say lets assume you
need 2 stacks of obsidium to get the materials to make one scroll. Therefore the cost
to make one scroll is: 30*2 + 100*2 + 2*15 = 290G.

This means you can make 1 scroll per day at a cost of 290G. On my server I am
currently selling them for 1350G each! That’s an increase of almost 500% and I am
selling 3 or 4 a day! Now imagine you farm the volatile water, or get the maelstroms
and ore even cheaper. The profit margin is huge.

No brainer to me.

Obtaining Cheap Infinite Dust

I recently leveled enchanting on an alt character and reached a point where Infinite Dust was simply too expensive to buy from the AH ( especially when you need 30 or so stacks ). I then thought to myself, what are some cheap ways to obtain some cheap infinite dust? My first thought was shuffling eternals, which turned out to be a great way to obtain some very cheap dust & essences, but that was not enough. I need more enchanting materials and there were no more eternals listed at the AH so, I started doing some research on what items you can craft and then disenchant to yield wrath enchanting materials.

Below is a list of the items that are worth crafting to obtain cheap infinite dust, I found one of the second best methods apart from the eternal shuffle is buying borean leather and crafting any of the named items in the Leatherworking section. I found Leather to be as cheap as 15g/stack and it was plentiful, check what your server has for cheap and proceed to craft X item then DE it for the dust.

 Blacksmithing
8 Cobalt Bars, 4-7 Infinite Dust
Horned Cobalt Helm

8 Cobalt Bars, 2 Crystallized Water, 4-7 Infinite Dust
Reinforced Cobalt Shoulders
Reinforced Cobalt Helm
Reinforced Cobalt Legplates
Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece

Jewelcrafting

2 Eternals, 4-7 Infinite Dust
Shadowmight Ring
Stoneguard Band

1 Gem, 2 Crystallized Earth, 2-3 Infinite Dust
Bloodstone Band
Crystal Chalcedony Amulet
Crystal Citrine Necklace
Sun Rock Ring

Leatherworking
8 Borean Leather, 2-3 Infinite Dust
Arctic Boots
Frostscale Belt
Iceborne Gloves
Nerubian Legguards

Tailoring
15 Frostweave Cloth, 1 Eternium Thread, 2-3 Infinite Dust
Frostwoven Shoulders
Frostwoven Wristwraps
Frostwoven Gloves
Frostwoven Belt

In the end, this is a great way to make leveling enchanting cheap, or simply make some gold with a little flavor. Don't know what to do with all the Infinite dust and essence you've gotten? Why not craft some Major Agility scrolls and list then at the Auction House?

New Niche Market: BiS Agility Cloak Enchant

I simply love niche markets and this has to be one of the best finds that I've discovered in a long time. Many people are currently busy with cataclysm enchants and don't go back to wrath enchants to see if they're still selling well. I'm always looking for markets that people simply don't know about and I've found a great enchant that is still BiS for 2-3 classes.

Enchant Cloak - Major Agility
Infinite Dust (8)
Greater Cosmic Essence (2)
Dream Shard (2)

The enchant caters to feral druids, rogues, enhancement shammies, and possibly hunters ( I've had a couple buy them ). As of right now this is the highest yielding agility cloak enchant in the game, there are other enchants that fit the roles of these classes such as +50 crit to cloak, but many of them value agility over crit.

As you can see above, the great thing about this enchant is that it utilizes Wrath of the Lich King Materials. Wait, what? How's that a great thing? Infinite dust is hella expensive! By using Wrath materials, the enchant provides you with the niche market that you need! On top of this, not many people care to go back to "old" and "outdated" enchants, even further allowing you to price gouge this item!

If you're having trouble obtaining Wrath of The Lich King enchanting materials check back tomorrow for a post on ways you can obtain Infinite Dust and Greater Cosmic Essence for cheap, which also includes the "Eternal Shuffle"

Molten Front Vendor(s) Unlock Today + Honor Compensation

If you don't know already, today is the first day people will unlock the molten front vendors if they've done their dailies every day since 4.2's release. I'd like to give you a couple tips and tricks that you can utilize to make yourself a nice chunk of change:
  • Truegold should and will skyrocket - it will go even higher as people unlock vendors ( I know for a fact people might of missed a day or two, or picked the wrong faction )
  • The recipes will be craftable right away, they do not require Living Embers, but instead use Chaos Orbs.
  • If possible be the first to sell these items, they will sell BIG - they're ilvl 365 weapons which caters to the casual crowd.
  • Volatiles should see an increase of price along with Truegold
  • If you find yourself stuck with Truegold, try to make the Vial of Sands drake, it requires 12 Truegold and still sells for a nice profit.
  • With the recent 4,000 honor compensation gems & enchants will be selling BIG - people are able to get 2-3 pieces of honor gear and they'll want their gear enchanted ASAP. Gems markets skyrocketed as of yesterday for me, purple, yellows, blue were all selling 100g+, Inferno Rubies were at 200-300g and Meta gems rose from 150-200 to nearly 350g per. Sell, sell, sell folks!
Right now the servers are down - use this to your advantage and "soft reset" the market for Truegold and any other item that you want. No one was prepared for this weird & out of place Wednesday maintenance so use this to your advantage and get ahead of the competition.

If you want to look at the new patterns coming from the 4.2 Molten Front Vendors go ahead and look at this post here at Just My Two Copper.

This will only happen once! Use this gold making opportunity and make as much gold as you possibly can folks! Do you have anything to add? Drop a comment below!

Working Through Wow Professions

Written by: Ashley. If you enjoyed this article then please let Ashley know in the comments.

When making gold with professions the process is generally simple:
  • Acquire materials
  • Craft items people need
  • Sell for profit

There is however a logical path through professions in order to get to end products.

At each step along this path there is gold to be made. The further down the path you go, the more gold can be made.

Let me illustrate my point with an example, I can take Ore, prospect into gems,
craft gems into jewellery, disenchant rings into enchanting materials, use materials to make scrolls and sell on the AH. This path starts with mining, then jewelcrafting and finally ends with enchanting. I have created an arbitrary diagram to show the sequence of events in this process and how gold can be made at each step.

New Patch 4.2 Inscription Gold Tip

Saving Gold In Azeroth Tip #6

Welcome back folks! I'd like to talk to you about something that could ( it might already be! ) saving you insane amounts of gold during your entire wow "career".

Use Reputation Discounts To Your Advantage!
By using reputation discounts ( or even guild perk discounts ) to your advantage you'd be surprised how much gold you'd save during your entire wow career. Sure it might seem like you're saving a couple silver here or there, but it all adds up!

I'll give you a small example, let's say you're a jewecrafter and you're doing the obsidium shuffle. You will need 200 jeweler's settings and you're buying them in Ironforge, a faction you're not quite exalted with, but you are friendly with. You'd end up paying 255g for all 200 settings ( 5% discount from rep, 10% from guild bartering perk ). Now let's say that instead of buying the settings in ironforge you buy them at Stormwind, a faction that you're exalted with. You'd end up paying 210g for all 200 settings ( 20% discount from rep, 10% from guild bartering perk ). You're saving 45g by using reputation discounts to your advantage. Now ask yourself this, how many settings have you bought since Cataclysm's release? 1,000? 2,000? 5,000 or more? If you've bought 5,000 settings and bought them from a vendor that is tied to a reputation that you're exalted with, you saved roughly 2,250g!

The example above can apply to all vendor bought items within the game, pets, recipes, enchanting scrolls, food, etc. One of the major things that I already talked about during Saving Gold in Azeroth #2 would be that you should always aply this discount when buying mount training/mounts! By doing so you're instantly saving several thousands of gold!

It's never too late to start saving folks! When buying vendor items be sure that you're using reputation discounts to your advantage! Think about it this way, find your total gold acquired in the statistics tab, how nice would it be to have 5-20% of that amount back?

Saving Gold In Azeroth #4

Today we have a tip from Jack, who's got several tips on ways you can save gold in Azeroth, read the e-mail he sent in below:

" Hi, I read your email this morning and it prompted me to think about ways to "save" gold during leveling.

1. I always make sure I have an add on such as Auctioneer which will add the vendor price to an items tooltip - This helps in 3 ways, whenever I complete a quest which rewards 3 items  which i I don't need to improve my gear it allows you to select the most expensive vendor item to sell on. For example if a quest rewards a cloth belt, leather chest or a fist weapon and my twink needs none of these items I will always pick the the one which Auctioneer tells me in the most valuable to vendors, generally speaking weapons will be more expensive by a long way followed by legs, chests and heads.

Secondly, if I have no choice but to destroy an item (I know I know always make sure you have bag space when questing), it allows me to see which item is worth the least, either using auction price or vendor price for greys.

Finally it shows you which items which you would once consider vendor trash are worth mailing to your AH dump character. For example taking the time to check Spider's Silk value whilst questing in Tekorra Forest allowed me to spot that an item I was about to vendor to mere silver was in fact worth at least a couple of gold, and the fact that Auctioneer has seen 50 of these items for sale shows me it's well worth listing it.
2. Low Level rare drops - Looking back it's amazing how many times I must have let a rare recipes slip onto the AH and a stupidly low price. Any recipe that drops should be checked to make sure it isn't super rare! And if it is then have patience if a rare enchanting recipes comes up for sale there will be many people with it on the their snatch list, and many crafters who regularly check for these patterns manually, take advantage of this, shout about it in trade, without spamming, and generally build some hype about how rare it is and how good the price is and you will sell it for what its worth or at the very least with a little discount you should be able to get someone to buy it just for them to flip it later.
3. Balancing Questing with Grinding - Now this might be the most effective way to level or even the best way to make gold but I have found that when I am griding quests sometimes it reaches a point where I need to close the gap slightly before moving onto the next zone, I used to trek about finding quests I have missed, however I now take a look through my bags and check which items are worth the most at Auction, or indeed any items I know will sell well such as volatiles, eternals etc. I will then set myself a couple of hours aside to grind level approiate mobs which drop these items. It's a great way to fill the gap left by any missing XP from quests and it's an ideal way to top up my gold by selling the items I have been grinding. "
- Jack

These are some great tips! I especially liked the third tip. It's a great way to make gold while also leveling up efficiently. It's also a nice change from the typical questing. One thing I love doing is AOE pulling a giant amount of mobs ( okay more like 6 ) and mowing them down on my feral druid. It's fast, efficient and a great way to earn some gold.

Remember folks if you have any tips and or tricks that you'd like to share be sure to write up a post and get paid for it! Send in a post to Markco and if it makes it past the initial screening process then I will publish your submission on the blog. Saving Gold In Azeroth Tip #3

Get Auctioneer or a good auction house addon!!! No seriously, addons will save you both time and money. This tip goes out to everyone that is starting to become a goblin in wow. Addons such as auctioneer and auctionator will show you the lowest priced goods on the auction house without having to scan through pages and pages of items.

As you can see below I'm using auctioneer, it alters the auction house window to show a thing called "PCT". PCT stands for Percent, it tells you at what percent an item is priced at according to it's Market Value. There are four different colors, red means the item is priced above it's normal market price thus you probably shouldn't buy it. Yellow means that it's priced at it's normal market value ( 100% ). Green means it's a tad below market price and is a great deal. Last but not least we have blue, meaning it's an awesome deal.

Above is an example of what I'm taking about. Notice that I'm trying to buy some Dense Stone to turn into the Darkmoon Faire. The first page shows me Dense stone in stacks of 1 at 284% Market Value - It's heavily over priced so I won't buy that. The next screenshot shows page 2 with 2 postings of dense stone at 47% Market Value - I will instantly buy that because it's extremely cheap ( There were roughly 40 stacks before I took the screenshot, I left 2 stack so the market wouldn't reset! ).

Without auctioneer I would of probably thought that the first page of Dense Stone was the cheapest when it actually wasn't. By using auctioneer or a similar auction house addon you're going to be saving yourself a good amount of gold.

Saving Gold In Azeroth Tip #2

Today's tip will be regarding leveling toons. We all know that they can make a nice dent into your pocket, whether it be mount training, gear, enchants or anything else. There are multiple ways that you can reduce the costs of leveling alts and even make/save some gold while leveling.

First you can use reputation vendors to get bags - use these if you have very, very little income. They're free 16 slotters once you acquire the required reputation with said faction. If and when you're buying bags at the Auction house calculate the gold per slot for a bag [ Price / # Of Bag Slots ]. By doing so you're able to obtain the best bang for your buck.

Furthermore by buying your mount training/mounts with a reputation that's exalted will result in saving several thousands of gold. It's a simple yet extremely effective method of saving gold on your alts. Also try to get into a high level guild if possible as the perks that you obtain from guilds are simply awesome to have. On my server we have a guild which will actually pay for your first two mount training; look for guilds like these, helpful towards levelers and also offer nice bonuses.

If you need any items such as enchants or glyphs; ask your guild. I'm sure many of them will gladly craft a glyph or two for way below AH costs. Now don't abuse your guildies, make sure to tip them as you would with any regular person. The current guild that I'm in allows me to take whichever glyphs I want as long as I actually use them instead of selling them. It's a nice plus to have when you're starting out and can't afford for 100-200g glyphs.

Try not to buy gear when leveling your toons. Gear can get expensive and can take a huge dent out of your pocket. Instead run dungeons or quest, both are great ways to obtain gear while leveling. If you absolutely need gear because you still have that level 29 green when you're level 60 go ahead and do it, but never buy Blues/Epics while leveling, they never last enough for you to get what you paid for them.

If you get gear with sockets do not buy those expensive gems for them. Instead ignore the gear or simply buy the cheapest possible gems available. I never pay above 30g for a gem when leveling my toons, they're simply not worth it. +48 Agility at level 70 ( 3 +16 agility gems ) or +48 Intellect isn't going to make much of a difference to be honest.

From 1-85 you're estimated to make a bare minimum of 10,000g from quest rewards. Most of this comes from the 70-85 area as the quest rewards can vary from 10-50g per quest. You can further increase how much gold you make while leveling by vendoring items which you cannot use and are soulbound. Use the gold you obtain from leveling to pay for your mount training, gear enchants and such, this will greatly reduce the cost of alts.

Do you have any tips on ways to save gold while leveling toons?

Tranquil Mechanical Gold

Guest Post by: Gold Queen
You can read similar articles at the Gold Queen's blog.

Tranquil Mechanical Yeti from Winterspring is one of the least known, rarest, and overlooked methods of making gold in World of Warcraft. As patch 4.2 has three new rewards for pet achievements of 100, 125 and 150 pets, demand for companion pets continues to grow, making the unusual small pets sought after by achievement hunters as well as the usual WoW pet collectors.
I just love the way the pet wiggles his little toes – cuuute!

The tranquil mechanical yeti used to be unique – i.e. the engineer could only make one at a time. This made it very expensive and rare in the Auction House, and is a memory that Vanilla players will still hold about the Yeti.

Players who started during the Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm now zoom through level 50-55, and have the option of levelling in Winterspring, Burning Steppes, Ungoro Crater, Swamp of Sorrows or cruising through dungeons with the dungeon finder. With the aggressive Timbermaw Furbolgs protecting the only entrance, it's easy to miss the treasures of Winterspring and forget about the tranquil mechanical yeti.

The Tranquil Mechanical Yeti pattern

Prequests to the pattern: Lilith the Lithe in Everlook and then Umi Rumplesnicker have the prequests which ask you to scare Umi's friend with an engineered yeti. Once completed, if you have engineering over 250 and are level 55+, Umi will start a quest which teaches you the schematic for the yeti.

Gather your Yeti Mats

Cured Rugged Hide, Thorium Widget, Globe of Water, Truesilver Transformer, Gold Power Core are all standard engineering mats, although you will need a leatherworker character or friend to make the Cured Rugged Hide if you find they are too expensive on the AH. It should cost under 200g to craft one yeti

Sell your Yeti

In pricing your yeti, be aware that maintaining the illusion of rarity will increase your profits and avoid purchase fatigue. You could aim for just under 1,000g at the weekends, and when the patch hits. 80% gross profit margin makes this very lucrative – double or triple the profit margin of cut rare gems.

If you find another gold maker on your realm selling too many of these or at too low a price, spoiling your market, you can consider controlling the essential material [Elemental Earth] and stopping the seller from crafting any more.

Similar Pets

Search AH now for rare pets such as whelplings, and hyacinth macaw to resell in patch 4.2. My new mini-guide to running a Warcraft Pet Shop lists all the engineering pets, places to find rare pets, and guides you through setting up a guild bank full of pets to sell.

JMTC Weekly Q&A Meeting

Tonight is the night! Just My Two Copper is hosting a Question and Answer Meeting tonight at 9PM eastern time zone. This is your chance to drop by and have professional gold guru's help you with your gold making woes! The meeting will last approximately 2 hours. Anyone is welcome, you don't need a mic to talk, you just simply need to be there and we'll answer your questions, live! As always, a recording of the meeting will be posted tomorrow morning so whoever couldn't make it can at least listen in on what was asked/answered.

Do not be alarmed once you find out that you're muted and unable to speak ( Will happen promptly at 9PM ). This is normal, we will have everyone muted except a couple of the known professional gold making gurus who will be answering your questions. If you have something you'd like to add to the conversation simply say so in chat and we will gladly unmute you.

The meeting is being held on Teamspeak. This isn't something that WoW players use ( at least to my knowledge ) too often. I'd used ventrilo but the capacity that ventrilo servers can hold just isn't enough. You're going to have to download a program named Teamspeak 3. It's 100% safe and free ( feel free to virus scan it if you don't trust me ). Teamspeak 3 can be download here.

To those of you who can't attend, I've made a forum thread which can be found here in which you can leave your questions at and we'll answer them during the meeting. You'll be able to listen to the answer the following day when the recording is posted.

Teamspeak Server Information:

Server: ts.isimba.org
Port: 9987

Also, anyone is welcome to join the JMTC IRC and ask questions at any time! This is your 24/7 Gold Guru heaven. You've got questions, we've got answers!'

We/I haven't been able to have one in quite a bit, I hope to see you guys there, I'm excited for tonight!

Post Fail + New Prof Recipes Locations!

First things first. I simply want to apologize for yesterdays post. It was incorrect information that I should of looked/researched a little deeper. It's something that I should of caught on earlier, so I apologize for that. Even though yesterdays post was a complete failure one of the comments really caught my eye:

" Wonder if you bought "valor" gear before you logged off and then revendored after the patch if you would get valor or justice points. I did this with pvp badge gear in wotlk with unintentional success.
With the valor earned/week cap though, I'm not sure it would work for more than one or two pieces; it may not allow the refund beyond the cap. Just curious, any thoughts. "
- Suite Dreemz

That could very well be a possible way around stockpiling valor, though it's semi-risky but the reward is huge. It's a simply possibility that could very well work out in the end ( like  said it worked for him in wrath )

I also wanted to talk about the new profession recipes that are coming in 4.2. They will in fact be coming for reputation vendors from the new Firelands raid/zone. If you're even remotely interested in getting these recipes I'd get your alts quested through the entire Hyjal zone and once 4.2 hits do the quest hub/dailies until you have the required rep to get whichever recipe you'd like.

Once you get the new daily hub done according to mmo-champion the things that the three vendor sell will in fact be buyable with gold. How much who knows but I'd definitely pay in upwards to 5-10k for the new profession recipes. By the looks of it, Blacksmiths will be able to buy 8 new patterns from the vendors, engineers get 2, Tailors will have access to 1 and last but not least, leatherworkers will have access to 2 recipes from the firelands daily quest hub.

If you're one of the first to obtain and craft these recipe you're going to be making a killing for the first couple weeks or so.

New Valor Wrists & Other BOE Gear in 4.2

Update: Silly me didn't read the fine print and Blizzard slid a low ball in, You can't stockpile valor for 4.2 as it will be converted to JP once 4.2 hits. Sorry folks!

That's right folks! Most of the new ilvl 378 valor rewards coming in 4.2 will in fact be BOE! What does this bring to the table? An excellent gold making opportunity!

You'll definitely want to stockpile whatever valor you possibly can for patch 4.2. If you're currently using your valor points to buy something else, I suggest that you stop and start stockpiling as much of it as possible. There is a total of three different types of BOE's, Thrown weapons, Wrists and Necklaces.

The cheapest are the thrown weapons costing only 700 valor points but to be quite frank these will most likely be hard to sell at the AH or any class that uses them *cough rouges *cough*. Next up in line you have the necklaces and wrists, they will be costing 1,250 valor points.  This is what you're most likely going to want to snag and sell to others.

If you're on of the first to throw these items out there you can easily sell them for thousands of gold. Heck even if you're not one of the first to attempt to sell these I'm sure you'll at least be able to sell them for 10-15,000 especially since they're ilvl 378. These puppies will become the new sort of current " Valor Boots "

What are your thoughts on having 3 different type of valor BOE epics? Will you stockpile your valor points?
