I've decided to release this post early since it is possible that tomorrow will be 3.0.8 patch day.
Quoting Wryxian:
"A new recipe for Worg Tartare is now available for purchase with Dalaran Cooking Awards. This delicacy imbues hit rating and Stamina upon those brave enough to eat it."
Interesting, you could probably make some easy gold buying worg meat and then reselling it for raiders interested in this food.
"Added a new recipe to convert a frozen orb and some green quality gems into several superior quality gems. "
I'm going to go ahead and assume that frozen orbs will go up in value from this change. 'Several' superior gems probably means 2-3, but that means that you could probably sell the orbs for around 150 gold and the Jewelcrafter will still turn a profit. If you are a Jewelcrafter I would recommend buying out frozen orbs cheap IMMEDIATELY.

Frozen Orbs will also be required in the plate resist set too.

Way ahead of you for once :) I was reading the patch notes a few nights ago and saw this change. Being a Jewelcrafter myself I instantly saw a hugh profit :D Good work though!

Don't worry when 3.0.8 finally comes I'll be able to go back to real auction house skillz :)

What you guys think make the gems to socketable gems or sell them raw?
Krazykral said... January 13, 2009 at 9:51 AM
Definitely sell them cut. Buying raw gems and cutting them is also a great profit maker. People tend to put the raw ones up for around 20g cheaper than the cut one, so I usually buy them out and re-sell for some pocket money :)

As a note, Epic Leg Armors now also will require a frozen orb IN ADDITION to the existing materials. In other words, the price of Epic Leg Armor should also increase. Buying these kits now and selling after patch 3.0.8 hits should yield an approx profit of one frozen orb per kit (whatever that may be: 20g? 50g? 100g? 150g?)

Running instances now is getting to be very profitable for me now. I make it clear to the group (to be fair) that the greens/unwanted blues are mine. Usuaully no one leaves as they are just rep/badge farming. I get a ton of enchanting mats, getting badges for scarlet rubies (Runed ones, the +19sp, sell for a ton), and hopefully an orb/the ending epic which I leave up for rolls to be nice :p
If you just run H Nexus, H VH, and the daily a day thats a ruby a day plus greens/blues.
