There is a lot of thought that goes into being a gold goblin. Not just thoughts of how deep of a dive to make into the mountains and mountains of gold that someone has accumulated. Where to store that gold, how to spend that gold. Many thoughts go around when can I get the next deal to keep ahead of the pack nipping at my gold loving heels.
If you have been reading previously, you've seen where I believe that disciplined investments will put you ahead of the game. Not relying on luck or hope that an epic item will drop into your lap to sell. Working around flipping items for profit, selling raw materials to crafters for profit and maintaining an edge to new sales revenues.
The mind is as quick as you train it to be. The majority of the items that you scan you should know within the first 10-15 seconds whether you can make a profit from it. Granted there are times that some items require a little bit more research. But for the most part it's your trained instincts that can tell you whether it is a steal, or time to walk away and look for a better deal.
Training that instinct takes time. It also take a certain amount of mistakes that will occur during your gold making career. Major league baseball players who bat 300 are considered all stars. This means that 7 out of every 10 times up to bat they do not get a hit. As gold goblins we try to have a better batting average. But losses of gold will happen from time to time. To play the game you have to be in the game.
Just keep in mind that every time you win, look at why it was profitable. When you lose gold, ask why it occurred and keep from making the same mistakes again. Pulling the trigger on the deal requires you to know exactly what target to hit. Otherwise you will miss and your gold making batting average will suffer.
Good Luck and Good Shooting
