5.04 first impressions. Fair or Foul

5.04 came out.   There was good,  there was definitely bad and updating addons are always ugly.   But the first day of a patch is always about survival.   Part of that survival is just seeing all the shiny new toys that each class receives.

The New talent system is interesting.   It will take a few days before the "optimum" specs are sent out from the big kids table (Elitistjerks.com).    Figuring that it will cost me a couple of 100g for respects til I get one that I enjoy to play.

Inscription once again got a spark,  though on many servers the undercutting/destruction of the trade came into full effect.  Glyphs were once again getting cut to just above profit level.   It frustrated many inscriptions who had returned into the market for the new Monk glyphs and some of the other new
class glyphs.

The 11th character slot did appear (though you couldn't roll a panda until the release of Mists of Pandaria).   The adjustment to the markets such as bags and enchants weren't as obvious on the first day,  but this weekend will tell the tale with casual players returning from their wowcations to give
the new toys a try.

It did break my heart to see some of the achievements I had earned appear on other players' characters as they logged in (the spam in General was tremendous when I first logged on).   Where I'm for evening out most of the achievements to keep an elitist attitude away from the game.  It did break my heart a little bit to see the achievement 'It's a Long Strange Trip' pop up multiple times.  Having finished that particular achievement on three toons it was a little kick to see others get it on all of their characters.

The markets should become more volatile and exciting as the patch continues.   Look for the inscription
burst to continue as glyph conglomerates come together to try to keep the inscription market from tanking
again.

Also look for a burst in PVP upgrades.   With Honor/Conquest points having now combined,  there should
a burst in patches and enchants that are PVP related.  Where players may return to testing out new combos
and toys in raids,  PVP bg's will become more dominant.

Now to see where my sales came in last night.

Good Luck and Good Hunting
